A Canadian listed oil and gas explorer in New Zealand has claimed an improving share price.
On Easter eve New Zealand Energy Co. (TSX-V: NZ) shares were up 20% in trading on Canada’s Venture exchange.
The company said the stock traded as at a closing price high of C3 cents on Thursday, with about 1.369 million shares traded, an increase of 247% from the average daily volume.
The website MarketBeat said the company (NZEC) reported the stock has a market capitalisation of $C6.96 million, a PE ratio of -1.25 and a beta of 4.83.
NZEC, through its subsidiaries, holds interests in various assets covering an area of 285 square kilometres in the Taranaki Basin.
