A veteran director of New Talisman Gold Mines Ltd has stepped down.

Murray McKee retired from the board at the end of last month after spending 22 years as a director, including formative years when the company was known as Heritage Gold.

New Talisman chief executive Matthew Hill said McKee had been instrumental in guiding the company in transition from explorer to producer. “It has been a rewarding journey,” he said.

Murray McKee spent several years as chairman and supported the board in some tough years.
