Another listed Kiwi company is undertaking a share buy-back.
Energy company Mercury NZ Ltd (NZX: MCY; ASX: MEZ) has informed both the domestic and Australian markets that it has acquired 256,922 of its shares.
The price paid per share was an average $NZ3.2396.
Following a board resolution in early May, Mercury said the buyback was for capital management purposes which the board believes to be “in the best interest of the company and its shareholders.”
The number of shares involved represented 0.0184% of the company’s issued capital.
